Film: SKATEISTAN: TO LIVE AND SKATE KABUL
Dazed & Confused in collaboration with Diesel gives us a look into the skateboarding culture nearly over 7 thousand miles away (6,918.88 miles to be exact). Meet Murza, a 17 year old skateboarder who literally lives in the middle of an war zone. Despite the hardships Murza has seen throughout his life and accepting there being no hope for his future, he skates and works and the local skate park Skateistan as the light through the dark tunnel of Kabul (Capital of Afghanistan).
"Operating against the backdrop of war and bleak prospects, the Skateistan charity project is the world’s first co-educational skateboarding school, where a team of international volunteers work with girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 17, an age group largely untouched by other aid programmes." - via Diesel New Voices
