Film: Inspiring the Film x Michael Rappaport

Here's Will Leather Good's first installment to their new series of films entitled, "Inspiring the Film," focused around first-time filmmakers showcasing at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival and what inspired them to make their films. First in the line-up is, Michael Rappaport for his documentary Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest. Above, Michael discusses discusses his particular interest in A Tribe Called Quest and his decision to create the documentary, comparing the legendary hip hop to Rolling Stones and Led Zeplin.

On another note: Q-Tip, one of the founding member of the A Tribe Called Quest and Michael Rappaport have settled what ever differences and disputes they'd had during the making of the film. Peace is always GUD to hear. Enjoy!
