This past summer, I revisited the motherland, South Korea. Although I was born in the States, I often visited my parent’s native country as a kid. A lot has changed over the decades, from K-pop culture blanketing the earth to Seoul’s stronghold as the future of Streetwear. Our friend KB took me to some of the capital’s historic temples, which employ a distinct pattern along the architecture—something I kept in mind when I was introduced to Chan Ho Shin. His brand, Liful, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. As the first and foremost Streetwear brand out of South Korea, Liful is leading a new generation of Korean brands, designers, and visionaries. Plus, they make the best outerwear for a country that endures the harshest of winters.
