T he adidas Originals Stan Smith has been a staple in the adidas catalog since the days of Robert Haillet in the early-mid 60s. The model was created by Adi Dasslers son, Horst, making it the first ever leather tennis shoe and marked the beginning of a long line of classic adidas silhouettes. After Haillet's retirement, the German-based sportswear company sought out a young Stan Smith, who had became the name and face for the classic tennis shoe.

Tested against time, the adidas Stan Smith still hold a modern aesthetic nearly a half a century after its debut while also being the muse for several collaborations. Longtime collaborator, NIGO has drafted the Stan Smith to put his own take on the tennis shoe turned sneaker. Draped in a white glazed leather upper, the model sits atop of white outsole constructed from rubber. Green accents land on the tongue while lace locks are added for a complete collaborative look.
