Memorial Day weekend

Instead of your typical Diamond Backs fan roaming downtown Phoenix Memorial Day expect to see the streets overrun by zombies, storm-troopers, state alchemists and trekkies.
I got to experience my first comicon last year at the same event and was a bit overwhelmed. First rule: Don't expect anything and expect everything at the same time(basically I was amazed at what I was seeing but I shouldn't have been.). Second Rule: bring cash, credit cards will be rarely excepted. I learned that the hard way and felt dumb quite a few times. Every vendor at the event will be there to promote and sale especially the local artists and writers. What's awesome( yeah i said "awesome") is if you have the cash a comic artist will draw a picture for you on the fly, and not some weak sketch. Top of the line work is represented and shown off. Almost anything and everything is presented from toys, figures, posters, clothing, costumes, set-pieces I can go on and on. An event not only for fans of comic books but also movies, TV shows, Music its all there. This is an event not to be missed if your a fan of anything related to imagination.

Currently the Special Guests Include Leonard Nimoy, Stan Lee, Cherie Priests, Joe Corroney, Joe Jusko and my favorite Billy Dee Williams(remember from the Colt 45. advertisements.....no well you should remember him from Star Wars) just to name a select few.
Right now until 12/31 full event memberships are priced at $30.00 so stop being a cheap ass and put the comic down and get out and meet the people that put it all together.
