Greek mythology hits the walls of Mar Menor.
You may remember these two from our 10 Artist You Should Be Following on Instagram. Spanish duo, Pichi & Avo (Pichiavo) are known for their distinct style of incorporating Greek mythology with classic art and contemporary urban art. The aesthetic creates a new fusion that acknowledges its classic heritage yet stays true to it street art roots.
Their latest work pops up in Murcia, Spain where the duo was in attendance at the 3-day urban art festival, Festival Arte Urbano Mar Menor. Although not given a title, the mural depicts the curse of the Greek Titan Promotheus. In which was given to him by Zeus for giving fire and the skill of metalwork to human race. Zeus ordered for an eagle to eat the liver Promotheus, who had been chained to a rock.
