T he infamous Ai Weiwei is back at it again. This time the political Chinese artist has wrapped 14,000 discarded life vests around the pillars of the Berlin's Konzerthaus venue, paying tribute to the Syrian refugee migrants that take the treacherous journey from Syria to Europe . The installment was a silent, yet impactful, attack on Europe's government for their response to their refugee crisis, highlighting the number of refugees who take to the dangerous waters everyday.

Last year, over 1 million migrants were forced to make Europe their destination. With sea routes being the safest means of travel, migrants our becoming to victims to perilous crossings. According to the International Organization for Migration, more than 400 have died since January 2016.
