Music: Your Old Droog x "42 (Fourty Duece)" (Video)
T oday we extend our ears to a newcomer (well at least on this site), but it is no rookie in his craft. Debuting his self-titled EP Your Old Droog back in 2014, Droog has been making noise since. The EP was acclaimed to be Queensbridge veteran Nas under an alias, but the Ukrainian American rapper soon revealed himself as the man behind the music. Digging into his roots, YOD borrows his name from Ukrainian slang "Droog" meaning "old friend."
For his latest Jonah Schwartz visual, Droog pays homage to his New York times on "42 (Forty Deuce)" while spitting over a refreshing Mantronik sample. The visual shows Y.O.D. in comedic light, portraying a couple of crazy scenarios you may come across while strolling through the NYC. Watch below.
