The Smithsonian Preserves Hip-Hop's Golden Age


A nn Arbor Sun's music critic Bob Adler has been hoarding collections of photographs documenting the “Golden Age of Hip-Hop.” Come this fall, The Smithsonian will place those polaroids on display for their latest exhibit in the Smithsonian's African American History and Culture Museum.

Look below for an sneak peek of the iconic and candid shots, including Big Daddy Kane getting shaped up, a young KRS-One posing alongside Ms. Melody, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Black Sheep, Afrikka Bambatta and many more.
