F ans will be saying their final farewells to one of the greatest to ever step foot on the hardwood. The NBA and Olympic champion, Kobe Bryant will conclude his NBA career tonight at the Staple Center, as the Los Angeles Lakers face off against the Utah Jazz.
Drafted at 19 years old in 1996, the now 37-year-old Bryant has won five NBA championships and is an 18-time All-Star, reaching a litany of milestones within the 18 years in Los Angeles.
Alongside giving fans some memorable moments on the court, Kobe has also left an impression on on the sneaker industry as well. In 1997, Kobe signed with adidas releasing his first signature shoe "Elevation" honoring the 1997 Slam Dunk Champion. By '98 the line had matured and adopted Kobe's name and jersey, naming it the KB8. After his contract was adidas, Kobe signed with Nike in 2004 and finished his signature shoe line with the Oregon-based sportswear company.
