J Dilla - 'The Diary' LP

Dropping in a few hours.

A fter being shelved by MCA Records in 2002 and staying in some unknown archives for the past 14 years, J Dilla's The Diary – previously titled PayJay – is finally available for listening. The name PayJay was also adopted by Dilla's company, which has been restored by The Estate of James Yancey. Now in collaboration with Mass Appeal Records, the two imprints have liberated the long awaited LP.

The posthumous album sees Dilla expresses his love for rhyme – which we got hear on "The Siccness" with Nas. The production credits are passed over to the likes of Madlib, Hi-Tek, Kanye West, Pete Rock along with many others while getting some vocal assistance from Snoop Dogg, Nas, Bilal, Kokane, Nottz & Boogie as well as Frank & Dank, Karriem Wiggins and more.
