Royce Da 5'9" Release the Highly Anticipated 'LAYERS' Album
Definitely didn't see this coming.
R oyce Da 5'9" has definitely been on his grind. What initially started as an announcement for Royce's sixth studio album has led to visual releases and track upon tracks weekly. While fans patiently waited for the proclaimed LAYERS, Royce dropped the visuals to "Tabernacle," a track off of LAYERS, where Nickel Nine recounts loosing his grandmother, meeting Eminem, and receiving his first-born all in one night. Fresh from the video release, Royce made another announcement stating he would be dropping an EP dubbed "Tabernacle: Trust the Shooter."
Since then, Da 5'9" has stayed in rotation weekly with joints like "Dead President Heads," "Black Elite" featuring Smoke DZA and Manolo Rose and the title track "Layers" which feature heavy hitters Pusha T and Rick Ross. The wait also came with another visual titled "Which is Cool."
Now Royce is back this week to hand off the full project LAYERS a little bit earlier than expected. While the album was slated for an April 15th release, the 9 Mile emcee has liberated the 17-track LP which features only two other artist, separate from King Push and The Boss with production from Nottz, DJ Khalil, Jake One and more.
