Wale x VILLA x ASICS Gel Lyte III "Intercontinental Title"

Inspired by Wale's love for pro wrestling.

Grammy-nominated rapper, Wale & Philadelphia-based boutique VILLA continue their ongoing ventures with a new collaboration spread over an ASICS GEL-Lyte III. The joint effort is inspired by Wale's love for wrestling dubbing the silhouette the ASICS Gel Lyte III "Intercontinental Title."

The collaboration is not a first for the three monikers, last year, Wale and Villa teamed up for a 4th of July-themed GEL-Lyte III, called the "Bottle Rocket." After a successful launch, Wale and Villa joined forces once again for the Timberland "Gift Box" and tried to do something with Saucony but was turned down due to legal battle with UPENN.

Bouncing back just a few months later, Wale took to social media to preview his new wrestling-inspired silhouette which dons a metallic Gold upper with black can be seen on the split tongue, collar and midsole. Blue accents are used to highlight ASICS branding, lining, eyelets and outsole as well as blue speckles spotted on the midsole.
