Exhibit: Alexander McQueen x The Met Ball
All hail the late great Lee Alexander McQueen. As we all know the McQueen family and fashion world lost a brilliant man this past February. There has been honorary events for McQueen this past spring/summer 2011 fashion week, but I will say this one may be the best as of yet. Like every year there is the annual Met Ball, a fashion dream world for insiders and fashion followers that only the elite among the industry are invited to attend. So be prepared for a garish show of fashion love on May 2nd, 2011 when the Costume Institute Gala honors Alexander McQueen's legacy and pays homage to the young innovative design genius. The exhibit will showcase his work in a 100-piece collection featuring his early graduating collection, his work with Givenchy, and pieces he made only for the late Isabella Blow. The exhibit will be entitled 'Savage Beauty'. More info...
The exhibit will be available to the public for viewing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 4th to July 3rd, 2011.
LONG LIVE MCQUEEN!!!
