Art: Art Platform x Ai Weiwei "Snake Bag"

After seeing the thousands of backpacks left behind by the children of deadly 2008 Sichuan earthquake, Ai Weiwei shows commemoration by displaying his eerie, yet thought provoking serpent at this year's Art Platform in Los Angeles, California. The serpent slithers across the wall, spanning 55 feet while constructed by 360 backpacks sewn, fashioning them into a symbol of Chinese lore.
