Cookin' Soul Mashes Up Biggie's 'Sky's the Limit' & Redman's 'Funkorama'

Serving another nod to hip hop's golden era.

S panish production duo, Cookin' Soul, has been a roll cooking up renditions of classic joints from the hip hop's golden era. The soulful, jazz eclectic sounds of producer-DJs, separately as Big Size and Zock, are mashed up over punchy drum kits and light acoustics–giving the pair an unmistakingly style of production. This week, the duo present two time-honoring tracks including Biggie's 'Sky's the Limit', off the 1996 release Life After Death and Redman's Insominia single 'Funkorama'.

Marking 19 years since Notorious B.I.G.'s murder, Big Size and Zock pay tribute with a 'Sky's the Limit' remix. The mashup consist of a sample from 'My Secret Fantasy' by The controllers, while stripping away 112's vocals, essentially giving the track an upgrade.
