Upcoming Colorways for the Nike Air More Uptempo & Release Dates
Literally going to be seeing "More" Uptempos.
L ast month, Pippen's Nike Air More Uptempo hit shelves in its original "Black/White" colorway. The silhouette instantly became a fan favorite and is probably the most iconic silhouette's from Nike'd Pippen line. Emphasizing Nike's Air Max "contained air" innovation with the word "AIR" emblazoning the upper panels, the silhouette has held its ground 20 years after its debut in 1996.
In honor of its 20 year Anniversary, Nike is planning to release three new color themes of the Air More Uptempo over the Summer while some are already making its way to Nike Sportswear retailers. The to first to mention is the "Chicago Home" color theme which is dressed with the Chicago Bulls Home Jersey in mind, hence the name. Featuring a White leather base with perforated panels in between the word "AIR" which is done up in "Varsity Red". The next release will honor the 1996 USA Olympic Team which saw the like of Shaquille O'neal, Penny Hardaway, Charles Barkeley and of course Scottie Pippen – to name a few – by taking on a USA-inspired colorway. A White leather base underlies a Navy Suede which comprises of the "AIR" on the upper's panels and throughout the heel. Hints of Red lands on the heel as well as on tongue. Staying true to its patriotic theme, these Air More Uptempo "Olympic" will arrive at Nike Sportswear retailers July 4th, with a price tag of $160 USD.
